Wall Oven & Cooktop Installation in Kitchener-Waterloo
Built-in ovens and cooktops are the installs that go sideways when the cutout or the wiring doesn't match the spec sheet. We check both before the unit is in the way.
A wall oven or cooktop is a built-in — it has to fit the cabinet opening to the millimetre, sit on proper support, have the electrical exactly where the manufacturer says, and clear whatever's above and beside it. In new kitchen renos across Waterloo, Kitchener and Cambridge we regularly find cutouts a few millimetres off, junction boxes in the wrong spot, or a 30A circuit where the double oven needs 40A. Catching that before install day is the whole job.
Wall ovens: single, double, combo
We confirm the cutout against the spec, check the support platform, verify the circuit and hardwire the unit (most wall ovens aren't plug-in), slide and secure it, and run a heat test. Combo units (oven + microwave, or oven + steam) are heavy and often need two people — that's us, not you.
Cooktops: electric and induction
Countertop cutout, clearance to the cabinet below (especially if a wall oven is under the cooktop), hardwired or plug connection, and a test of every element. Induction cooktops typically need a dedicated 40–50A circuit; we'll confirm yours before delivery.
Gas cooktops
The gas connection is done by our certified gas-fitting partner, KW Gas Fitter. Book once and we coordinate both trades on the same visit.

Most are hardwired to a junction box. We handle the connection; if the circuit itself is undersized, we coordinate an electrician.
Can you install a wall oven under a cooktop?
Yes, if the manufacturer allows the combination and clearances are met. We check the spec sheets for both.
